Armyworm and grub control in North Metro Atlanta
Army worm and grub control before they eat the lawn.
Fall armyworms can turn a Bermuda lawn brown over a weekend. White grubs chew on the roots all summer where you can't see them. Both can be prevented, and preventing them costs a whole lot less than putting a lawn back together.
- Grub prevention: May to Jun
- Armyworm season: Aug to Oct
North Georgia isn't a generic lawn.
Armyworm moths ride up from the Gulf every year and lay eggs on North Georgia lawns from late summer into fall. Grubs hatch out of June beetles and Japanese beetles in early summer. Once you know that calendar, you can get ahead of the damage instead of cleaning up after it.
- Grub prevention that goes down before the eggs hatch and holds all season
- Armyworm treatment within days of your call, not weeks
- If they got to the lawn first, we look it over and put a plan together to bring it back

How do I know if I have armyworms?
Brown patches that spread fast, blades chewed down to the stem, and little striped caterpillars right at the edge of the damage, especially early in the morning. If you see that, call us that day.
Will the lawn come back?
Almost always. Bermuda and Zoysia bounce back with water and feeding. Fescue can need reseeding if they ate down to the crowns.
Are grubs the same as armyworms?
No. Grubs are beetle larvae and they eat roots underground. Armyworms are caterpillars and they eat the blades up top. Different bugs, different timing, different products.
