Lawn fungicide treatment in North Metro Atlanta

Fungicide programs for brown patch, dollar spot and the rest.

Warm days and humid nights make North Georgia about perfect for lawn fungus. Large patch on Zoysia, brown patch on Fescue, dollar spot on Bermuda. Each one shows up on its own schedule, and a preventive program keeps it from ever getting a foothold.

  • Zoysia large patch: Mar to Apr and Sep to Oct
  • Fescue brown patch: Jun to Aug
  • Bermuda dollar spot: May to Sep
Fungicide Control on a North Georgia lawn
Why it matters here

North Georgia isn't a generic lawn.

Lawn disease here is driven by heat and moisture, and nobody controls those, so timing is everything. Putting fungicide down ahead of the usual outbreak windows costs a lot less than trying to cure a lawn that's already full of dead rings.

  • We rotate products so the disease doesn't get used to any one of them
  • Timing set by your grass type and what the weather's doing, not a fixed date
  • Plus the simple stuff that helps: when you water, how high you mow, when the lawn gets fed
How we do it
  1. We figure out which disease it is

Rings, spots on the blades and the shape of the patches tell us what we're dealing with, and that decides the product.

  2. We get ahead of it

Applications go down before the spring and fall large-patch windows and before summer dollar spot season.

  3. We switch products on purpose

Alternating how the fungicides work keeps every one of them effective.

  4. We help you fix the habits that feed it

Watering early in the morning and mowing at the right height do about half the job.

Questions about fungicide control

The ones we hear most.

Is it fungus or something else?

Good question, because drought stress, grubs and dog spots all look about the same from the porch. We get down and check the blades and the roots before we treat anything.

Can I just water less?

It helps a lot. Water deeper, less often, and only in the early morning. In a wet summer it usually isn't enough on its own, but it's the right place to start.

How many applications are there?

Two to four preventive applications a year, depending on your grass, plus a curative visit if something breaks through anyway.
