Fire ant control in North Metro Atlanta
Fire ant control that keeps the yard yours.
Fire ants don't just sting. They build mounds in the lawn, around the swing set, along the driveway, and one colony you leave alone can turn into a dozen. We treat the whole property, not just the mounds you can see.
- Spring: Apr to May
- Fall: Sep to Oct
- Mound treatment: any visit
North Georgia isn't a generic lawn.
Fire ants are everywhere in North Georgia now and they're not leaving on their own. Drenching one mound at a time mostly just moves the colony next door. Broadcast bait is the thing that actually gets to the queens, and that's what ends a colony.
- Bait spread across the whole lawn, so the foraging ants carry it home to the queen
- Active mounds near walkways and play areas get treated directly
- Spring and fall applications cover the whole active season
-
We bait the whole yard
A granular bait goes across the lawn while the ants are out foraging, so they carry it back to the colony.
-
We hit the mounds you walk past
Any active mound near a walkway, the mailbox or the play set gets treated directly.
-
We check again next visit
If anything new has popped up, we treat it.
The ones we hear most.
How fast does it work?
Mound treatments work within a day or two. Bait takes a week or two, because the colony has to carry it home and share it, and that's exactly why it lasts.
Is it safe for pets?
Yes. Once the granules have settled down into the grass, usually after a watering or a good morning dew, the dog can have the yard back. We'll tell you on the day.
Will the ants come back?
They can. New colonies move in from next door, which is why we bait twice a year and will come treat again whenever you ask.
